My lovely fiance brought me flowers a few days ago, as he arrived I could see he was trying to hide something so being a typical woman I spun around him for a look, hehe, I am such a spoil sport.
He got me a dozen gorgeous pink roses to make up for not being able to get me any on Valentines day. I wasn’t bothered he hadn’t got me any for valentines day because I don’t expect them — so that makes it all the sweeter.
It has also given me the chance to use the ‘Soil Balls’ I ordered several months ago but kept forgetting to use. They are really neat, I used some blue and clear ones and the fill the entire vase. I hope they last at least as long as the flowers

My fiance got me a lovely watch for Christmas, it’s pink (of course) with sparkly hearts on it — I love it, he did a great job picking it out because it’s a dangerous game that, choosing jewellery for me. Most people get it wrong and then there’s that whole awkward thing where you either have to tell them it isn’t your cup of tea, or pretend you like it.

I am thinking of returning the favour and getting him one of those really nice Swiss Army watches for his upcoming 30th birthday.

We have ticket so see Death Race at the cinema tomorrow night, for free, I don’t do paying for the cinema. But I don’t know if we will go or not. The fiance and I are terrible when it comes to films, we are very hard to please which is why we go on these free screenings — if we didn’t pay to see it we don’t feel as bad if it’s no good. Also we go to them ‘blind’, we don’t watch trailers or read synopsis or anything.
However the last time we went to see one (Pineapple Express, I liked it, he didn’t) we saw a trailer for this one…and because of that neither of us really want to go because we weren’t really impressed with the trailer, but then we never are.
We’re so picky and annoying. It’s free, we should totally just go right? But then, what’s the point if it’s going to be rubbish?
Writing this blog post did not help me come to a decision at all.

As I have already said, I am but a creature of the night who doesn’t keep the usual hours. I also work from home, and my fiance works lates so it works out well for us. I am going to tell you about an average day in the life of the Viki.
Get up around 2pm, make myself a cup of tea and maybe get some breakfast - I hate getting up, absolutely the worst part of the day. I have to literally drag myself outta my pit.
I get dressed…or….ok no I don’t, I just stay in my PJs and hop straight on the computer to start work. I mean to get dressed, but usually a few hours pass before I actually do it.
I work until around 5pm when I break off for my tea - I have the same thing every day, a chicken tikka and salad sandwich, YUM. This is also when the fiance starts work so I wave him off on his way.
I will then watch television or go out for a few hours.
At 8pm I hop on my elliptical for around 45 minutes 5 nights a week, the other 2 nights I go out to the pub or cinema at around that time.
I then go back home, watch television for a while, have something to eat (usually a bowl of rice krispies).
The fiance arrives home at 11pm and he then cooks us our tea, I’d cook it but I have no abilities in the kitchen..other than doing the washing up. We chat and watch television for a while.
At around 2am I head back to the computer where I start my second job. I finish at 5am. I spend an hour or so doing my own thing online and then head to bed for the day.
That’s about it.

The Fiance and I stayed up until almost 7am a few nights ago playing the new Mario Party on the DS :loser: How sad are we? lol

It’s so much fun though, I have never really played the Mario Party games much before, I think I had one on an N64 emulator I had on my computer a few years ago but that’s about it. And, in our defense 7am isn’t that late in our world, considering our usual bed time is around 5am and it’s not uncommon for us to still be up at 6am! It sucks that (as far as I can work out) you can’t play it over wifi, so we can only play when he’s here or I am there, pooey.
What was the last computer game you got stupidly hooked on as soon as it came out and spent hours playing until ridiculous AM?

Now, let me introduce you to my boyfriend, other half, best friend and fiance - as he will always be referred to in this blog.
As I mentioned in my first post we met online back in 1999 in Dreamarena, the chat room on the sega dreamcast - we became friends over time and eventually met up one drunken night in 2003 and were almost immediately a couple. He lived 70 miles away from me and was the only one of us who could drive, he also worked 6 nights a week so for a while it was very difficult and over the first few years we almost broke up a few times because I couldn’t handle the long distance. Thankfully we stuck it out and things got easier.
We got engaged July 2007, after 4 years of being together. We weren’t and still aren’t in any rush to get married or have kids, we may be pushing 30 but we are big kids at heart ourselves.
I wouldn’t be without him. Not for less than a million pounds any way.
