I have a couple of barcode scanners at home and I love them – they are part of this program I am a member of online where I have to record and scan every thing I buy – and that means every thing from food, to clothes to DVDs online etc. It took a lot of getting used to doing it but after almost a year I’d definitely say I am used to it now and I enjoy doing it. Beep Beep.

I am thinking of getting some anniversary rings for me and the other half. We will have been together for 10 whopping years in June and I think it’d be nice to get something significant to mark the occasion. We don’t have a huge amount of money so spend on them but I am sure we could get something quite nice for around $250.

I have been looking at decorative address plaques online for the last few days as I would really like a nice one for the new house – the one that was there when we moved in just isn’t to our taste at all, it’s very tacky. I don’t want to have to spend a fortune on one though – nice, but affordable.

Does any one know where I can get kosher gift baskets in the UK? I have been looking online but all the links I find seem to be American ones that either only ship within the USA or charge a ludicrous amount to ship over to the UK. I need a few for friends at the moment and I don’t really want to have to end up making one myself as that’s just far too much work and pressure!!

I am on the lookout for discount medical uniforms at the moment if any one knows of a good place to get them cheaply? Not for any sort of work or serious purpose but for fancy dress hehe. Fancy dress shops can be SO expensive and a friend suggested that buying actual scrubs and the like might work out cheaper than a proper outfit and I think they were right.

I am looking at for some sites with great, interesting and unique gifts for kids – my neices and nephews are getting pickier and pickier and harder to please when it comes to gifts (though they are always greatful!) so I need to find some things that I know they are going to like but are going to surprise and excite them and be something they have not seen before.

We are looking for a way to cover pool in the back garden, now that we have a puppy that will be allowed outdoors in a few days time once he’s had his final vaccinations we really need to make sure he can’t go falling in to it and getting himself into a pickle – we’d like to teach him to swim or see if he does it instinctively but for the short-term it needs to be covered.

I am on the look out for discount pool pumps at the moment if any one knows of a site that sells them? Thankfully I am in no rush to get them as I imagine shipping would be slow wherever I ordered from now what with it being Christmas and New Year. I might wait until after Christmas and hope I can get some in the January sales.

I was looking at plaques earlier as I thought it might be a cute novelty gift for my other half to get him a trophy saying ‘worlds best boyfriend’ or something equally as soppy and cheesy

It’s not the sort of gift we usually get for each other as we tend to stick to more practical items – but it’s nice to have a change now and then, right?

Well it’s taken me until a week before Christmas and with just a few online shopping days left I have finally decided to get my dad some nice cufflinks as his gift – he’s really tricky to buy for as he never wants any thing and would be genuinely happy if you didn’t give him any thing. But he does like to wear cufflinks and with so many to choose from there’s always room to buy more in different styles and the like that he doesn’t already have!
