Need a laundry hamper

I need to get a new laundry hamper tomorrow, does any one have any recommendations for me? I am happy to pay a little more for something really good, it needs to be really practical and do what it is intended to do but also still look nice and stylish — a lot of these things are so ugly and I don’t know why because they still need to sit in your house, every thing that is on view in your house should look good in my opinion :)

Fruity Trees!

I can’t wait until the summer when all the work we have put into the garden since we moved here starts to show, we planted a lot of bulbs — mainly flowers but also a few Apple and Plum trees, if those work out it is going to be awesome to be able to just go down into the garden and pluck our own fruit.

I will feel like a proper grown up hehe

Redecorating is fun :)

We are in the process of redecorating the lounge at the moment and the next thing on my huge list of things to buy are audio racks, the other half has a lot of CDs and wants to display them. We need something dark to fit in with the rest of the decor, I am hoping for perhaps a dark brown leather set but I don’t know if that would be really expensive — might have to settle for faux leather and hope that the quality is still good enough :)

Friday is the big day

Moving van is booked and every thing that can be packed has been, we move house on Friday. Eeeeeeeep.

It really is so stressful, and we are only going from one small place to another one a few miles away — I don’t know how people who are moving a long distance and live in big houses cope, really I don’t.

Getting my computer up and running is a top priority, but I still expect to be without for a few days so if you don’t hear from me, you know why.

It’s started…

…just a few weeks to go before I move now, hence the lack of blogging (bad me *hand slap*). This means I finally get to start ordering some of the things we need for the place. I have already ordered most of the small kitchen needs, like the diner set, cutlery and can openers.

I have ordered two gorgeous bed side tables that go with the fitted wardrobe that is already there and I have got 2 floor standing lamps for the living room. Now I am on the look out for a nice discount table lamp to go on the bedside tables and some cushions for the sofa (which my parents are very generously buying us :))

Moving in just over 3 weeks.

One thing we have not yet worked out about the move is how we are going to transfer my stuff down there, my initial thought was that we could just take things a little at a time while we are travelling back and forth over the next few weeks any way, but I didn’t think about where we would then store my stuff until move in date!

Thankfully I just discovered moving pods and that pretty much sorts out that little dilemma — we can take the stuff as planned and then simply throw it in a weather proof storage shed in the back garden for a few weeks :)

Take the hassle out of adding blog pictures

One thing that I like to do on my blogs, not just here at Jeoberpta, but on all of my blogs…is include images in my posts — I think visuals always help and they add a certain style to a blog post.

What I usually do is write a post, then think about what picture would look nice and fit in with it, then I start searching free photo sites and google image search and the like — once I find one I like I have to check I am allowed to use it, save it, resize it, upload it and insert it. It’s a bit of a hassle.

Blog Pictures | acobox.com

So, was I ever glad to come across AcoBox.com a few days ago! They offer free blog pictures, but what makes it so great is that I don’t have to worry about checking if I am allowed to use the image or not — if it’s on the site it’s OK to use. I also don’t have to save it and upload it before use as they host it for me and should it need resizing, I don’t even have to do that manually as it can all be done on site.

They just took all of the hassle of adding blog pictures to posts. Hurrah.
