Need a vacation!

I am desperate to take a vacation at the moment, I have not been any where since June last year and in fact I have not even left this area for any reason since November last year…jeez that’s what, 5 months!

I need to look up some Outer Banks rentals and get something arranged for the holidays, I need a change of scenery and I am damned if I am not going to get one again!

Need a new video card

I need to get a new video card, it doesn’t seem like five minutes since I last needed to upgrade it but the time has already come again — I do a lot of video editing so need to keep it tip top so that I can continue to use the latest and best video editing softwares I get given for work. It’s a pain and can be expensive, but what can you do? I will sell my old one on EBay, they usually bring in enough to take the sting off the cost of the new one!

Rock Tumbling!

My Aunt is a real artsy type, always has been. We were catching up recently and she told me she was really into ‘Rock Tumbling’ at the moment and she and my uncle had had a row about how much she had spent on her Lortone rock tumblers — I just looked blinking at her for a few moments because I had no idea what she was talking about.

Turns out that it is basically putting rocks into a machine and shaping and smoothing them. She made me one to show me, it’s a little blue heart and it is very beautiful — it’s so smooth it actually looks more like glass than stone!

More snow headed our way

That’s what they just said on the news, happy days. There’s still loads of snow about from Sunday/Monday so hopefully if it starts again it will all pile on and look awesome.

I think it is mainly going to be down south and up north though, snowing every where around me but not actually on me. That would make me very very sad haha.

They say that as much as another foot is likely to fall as of tonight, and trust me if it does I will be back out and playing in it like the big kid that I am :)

Animated gifs are still cool, right?

I have been designing websites now for a long time, I think that I created my very first page back on Geocities — it used frames, had a dancing elmo on it and was covered in animated GIFs. I thought it was the coolest website ever, how funny.

I have not actually done very much web design in recent years though. With so many free wordpress themes out there, and the majority of my blogs running wordpress, it is very easy to get lazy and that is exactly what I have done. Free themes are all well and good for sites like mine, but hardly professional for people who are more series about their sites/businesses, having a unique design is surely a must?

Q-Industries is a web design company that offer stunning design work, web marketing as well as other web development services. I have just been looking through their portfolio of work available to view on the website and I am very impressed. I could see them doing a really great job on my boss’ business site — it was designed by a friend of his and is currently ‘passable’ at best. I keep telling him he should get some professionals in to really make the site stand out, but he doesn’t pay much attention to me apparently.

Raving Rabbids on the way

A few weeks ago now I took out a free 90 day trial DVD rental from Tesco, when I signed up I signed up for the wrong package — I couldn’t rent Wii games as well and that was the main thing I wanted. So I added them…and a few days later realised they had cancelled my free trial and charged me the full £18 for a one month service — booooo.

It took several emails with me complaining, but eventually today I won the battle and they agreed to refund the charge. So a happy ending, but an annoying time.

So far I have rented a few DVDs for the parents. Sonic, Crash of the Titans and Worms — I only really liked Crash of the Titans out of those. They just emailed to say that Raving Rabbids is the next one on the way — yay I am looking forward to this :) That, along with My Fitness Coach are the ones I want the most!

Home Theater

When I win the lottery and move into my dream house, it is going to have a swimming pool, a snooker room for the fiance, a gym and a home theater so that I can sit and watch all my favourite reality shows on the big screen. It will have swanky decor, drinks and popcorn machines and the most comfortable home theater seating money can buy.

Now I just need to start buying lottery tickets, heehee.

Best Bingo Online!

I love to play online bingo, it’s a lot of fun and of course it’s an added bonus when you win.

A few years ago I would have thought of playing bingo as ’sad’, something that older ladies and overly loud women would do — but that’s all changed now, with so many online bingo sites in the UK. Bingo is fun, it’s young, it’s cool!

I don’t get into the chatting too much, I’ve never been much of a chatter, but I do enjoy the ‘Chat Games’ that most bingo sites seem to have — where the staff play little side games with you where you can earn bonus money to play with.

At BingoSuperMarket.com you can learn about all the Best bingo online — the site is a portal to 100s of bingo related sites online so you can see which is the right site to play bingo online for you! They offer news and reviews of all things online bingo as well as have a directory of all the best sites, including available bonuses and coupon codes and the like.

It’s definitely a useful resource for us bingo fans, especially with lots of cold winter nights of staying home at night on the way!

Enjoy.

Need hard to get tickets?

Another thing I love doing is going to gigs, I go whenever I can…music, TV show filmings, comedians. I really wanted to get tickets to Take Thats upcoming tour, but unfortunately have no one to go with…I have no friends who actually like them, losers :P

It’s probably a good job I didn’t want to try and get tickets though because I think I would have been disappointed, I have been hearing on the news all day that it’s all sold out already making it the fastest selling tour ever or something. Crazy, go Take That!

TicketCity.com is a broker who specialize in getting tickets for sold out events, they currently have plenty of the highly sought after BCS Tickets for example.

StubPass

Here are some of my hobbies, going to the gym, going to the cinema for free, eating out for free, playing bingo for free, going to concerts for free, being in the audience for some great TV shows for free — spotted a pattern yet? I like to go places and do things for free, and it’s amazing how easy that is when you know how :)

I run another website that covers a lot of how to do this stuff, it mainly involves going through cashback sites to get any output back, but also lists sites like SeeFilmFirst and ApplauseStore, where you can get all manner of tickets for free.

The absolute best freebie me and the other half got, was when I managed to get tickets for Radio One’s Big Weekend in Preston a few years ago — for the benefit of those of you not from the UK, or who have been living under a rock, it’s a free music festival from Radio one and tickets are very hard to come by and highly sought after. We had an awesome time, we saw Mika, Stereophonics, Rhianna and the Kaiser Chiefs among others.

Of course you can’t always get free stuff, even the master freebie finder has to pay sometimes (boo). Sporting events especially are really hard to get freebies for…of all the events I have gone to for free, very few have ever been sports related.

StubPass.com is a great and well known site to purchase your tickets for many popular events.
So if you are looking for NBA Tickets, tickets to a show in Vegas (baby!), fancy seeing a Broadway show, or need Boston Celtics Tickets or any others, visit StubPass.com, I am sure they will be able to accommodate your needs :)

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go back to bargain hunting.
