And no, I am not talking about my bottom!

Seriously it is super windy the last few days, I was out the other night and could barely walk in it it was so strong — it was also raining and freezing cold and I spent the whole 15 minute walk wishing that I had just stayed home or got a lift or something!

The umbrella I took out with me was completely useless, I had it up for just a few seconds before realising that.

I tried to have my hood up but it wouldn’t stay up for more than a few seconds so I just had to suck it up and get cold and wet!

I can’t wait until the summer when all the work we have put into the garden since we moved here starts to show, we planted a lot of bulbs — mainly flowers but also a few Apple and Plum trees, if those work out it is going to be awesome to be able to just go down into the garden and pluck our own fruit.

I will feel like a proper grown up hehe

We are in the process of redecorating the lounge at the moment and the next thing on my huge list of things to buy are audio racks, the other half has a lot of CDs and wants to display them. We need something dark to fit in with the rest of the decor, I am hoping for perhaps a dark brown leather set but I don’t know if that would be really expensive — might have to settle for faux leather and hope that the quality is still good enough

I have decided to look up some life insurance quotes for myself, a few high profile people have died recently unexpectedly and it really highlights the fact that you can go at any time, even if you are young, healthy and fit — it’s kinda scary but at the same time makes you appreciate the life you do have and aim to make the absolute most you can of it

I was looking up social security disability a while ago for my mum, she doesn’t need it herself but some people at work were talking about it and she wanted to know more — I don’t know why I have become the ‘go to’ person for all Internet research, can’t people do it themselves?

I don’t mind helping my mum out, but this is for a friend of a friend of my mum for Pete’s sake!

Thankfully I don’t often suffer with vaginal dryness, but I have done in the past and it’s bloody awful — really it’s the most uncomfortable and awkward issue to have.

Loads of women get it all the time and I feel so bad for them, my friend gets it and spends a fortune on products that are meant to try and help or at least ease the annoyance involved.

I have been sleeping like a log recently, which is unusual for me — I don’t usually sleep terribly as such but it takes me a long time to drop off and I am often restless throughout the night and if I need to get up in the middle of it for the toilet or any thing it takes me ages to get back off.

The last two weeks I have been working out, really hard, I have been doing up to three hours per day — an hour in the morning, an hour in the afternoon and an hour in the evening — and come 4am (which is early for me although it probably sounds really late to you, 6am is my normal bed time) I have been barely able to keep my eyes open and have been crawling into bed and being asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow soon after 4am most nights.

Strangely, and it is probably just in my head rather than real, I find that I sleep better in Metal Beds than any other! I can’t see any reason why that would be true, but it really does work like that — I love the design of the dark brown/black leather beds like the ones at Time4Sleep.co.uk but I have trouble dropping off in one, weird huh?

I am super excited, one of my friends won this big competition where she gets a ‘Pamper Day’, she’s getting he whole works — every thing from a hair cut with a top stylist to some strange Japanese massage I don’t even know how to pronounce…and she’s taking me with her!

I am not sure exactly how it works, as her guest I don’t get most of the freebies she does but I know I will be spending a lot of the day in a hot tub and getting my first ever body wrap, I have wanted one for a while but never got around to trying it! I don’t know what exactly I am getting wrapped in just yet, but I don’t care — I am just happy and excited to be going at all

One of the few downsides of having the reputation as the Internet expert among your circle of friends and family, is that people expect you to know everything and when you don’t they expect you to research it for them — it happens all the time and I feel like telling people to look for themselves, but I never do…grr….I need to stand up for myself more!

Today my boss asked me about Internet video conferencing as it is something he hopes to start using in the near future, I told him that as long as he gets some reliable software and a decent service provider it should be pretty simply and straightforward to both set up and use, and now apparently it is my job to search for those things and tell him which services to use!

I suppose I don’t mind really, it’s nice to feel needed.

In the last week or so I have decided to take up affiliate marketing, I monetise my sites in so many ways but have never really gone the affiliate route before — I think partly because I think it’s very hard to do and not come across spammy.

I signed up to a well known affiliate network on Sunday, I picked a site and offer that seemed relevant to my readers on my other high traffic television site and have been promoting it since — so far 3 people signed up and I have earned £1.40, woo! OK so I won’t be able to retire on that amount, but it makes me confident that it might be something I can do and that will be more lucrative for me as time goes on

Commission Soup is a new Affiliate Marketing Network I came across just tonight that I am going to sign up to tomorrow — they look very interesting and it can surely do me no harm to be a member of more than one such site!

I am still learning about what is good and bad in affiliate marketing, not to mention learning what all the words and acronyms mean so it can be a bit intimidating, but I am also super excited about the whole thing
