Top Design is over…

….what will I do with myself now, I love that show. It was a really great season as well with all three of the finalists showing great, wonderful and unique designs.

Shall I tell you one thing that really annoys me about home make over style shows though? They never show the ‘ugly’ things in a house that, like it or lump it, are necessary — TVs, cables, security systems.

People need security in their homes, make it work designers!

You can find everything for your home security needs, including Infrared Illuminators at Security-Cameras-CCTV.com :)

I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

Ex-tennis star Martina Navratilova and George Takei – Star Trek’s Mr Sulu – are among contestants in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

They will be joined in the jungle in the ITV1 show by MEP Robert Kilroy-Silk and TV presenter Esther Rantzen, as well as ex-EastEnder Joe Swash.

Others include ex-Blue singer Simon Webbe, TV presenter Dani Behr and former police chief Brian Paddick.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly again front the show which starts on Sunday.

The line-up is completed by models Nicola McLean and Carly Zucker.

‘Champions adjust’

Navratilova, 52, said she “was flying very blind” having never seen the show before.

Simon Webbe follows in the footsteps of ex-Blue bandmate Antony Costa

“So I’m sort of going in on trusting in my ability to adjust – as Billie Jean King says, ‘champions adjust’. So we’ll see if I can adjust.”

The Czechoslovakian-born star, now a US citizen, said her “biggest worry” would be contact with snakes and spiders.

Takei, who married long-term partner and business manager Brad Altman in September, is also new to the I’m A Celebrity concept.

The 71-year-old said he had eaten live fish – a Japanese delicacy – and hoped this would stand him in good stead for the bushtucker trials.

“I’ve even had live fish that’s had a bamboo spit driven through its gill attached to a radish and a bamboo spit through its tail so that it can’t flop around,” he said.

“You can’t get fish any fresher than that.”

Executive producer Richard Cowles hailed this year’s “magnificent cast of celebrities”.

“But their trip to the jungle promises to be anything but a walk in the park,” he added.

“Each year, in a bid to test the celebrities, we develop new ways of pushing the boundaries and this series will push them further than ever before.

“We have bundles of surprises up our sleeves and some of the most gruelling bushtucker trials ever seen.”

Last year’s series was won by actor Christopher Biggins.

US ex-model Janice Dickinson finished in second place while former pop star Jason “J” Brown was third.

Need Survey Software?

Ever taken those consumer research type surveys online? You must have, everyone has. I take them quite often as I am a member of many ‘Get Paid To’ type sites that offer you rewards for doing so. If I ever need to set one up myself, which I may well do in the near future due to a job I am doing for my boyfriends boss, I will need some reliable Survey Software and I know you can get just that from Inquisite.com

UK Bargains

To say I am a fan of bargain hunting would be an understatement, I spend a good portion of my online time doing it. In fact come this time of year all of my family basically hand me a list of Christmas gifts they need to buy, and I get busy doing all of their shopping for them — I am a bargain hunter because I hate spending money but love shopping — so being able to shop til I drop without having to spend any of my own money is a dream :P

One site I use heavily to help me with this is UK Bargains, a site dedicated to providing tips, tricks, cashback offers and killer bargains in the UK. UK-Bargains.net covers every thing from money off vouchers and free delivery codes, to how to get free credit for your mobile phone, how to get the most out of your online shopping thanks to cash back sites like Quidco and TopCashBack, free cinema screenings thanks to SeeFilmFirst and so much more.

In the last week alone they have posted vouchers for free delivery and a whopping 20% off at Nike Store, Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins!

With the Christmas shopping to get done, it’s a must visit for every one :)

IT Outsourcing at Netspt

I was watching the new ITV show called The Last Millionaire last night, ITVs answer to The Apprentice apparently, though I’d personally call it more of a direct rip off but hey ho, the more reality shows out there the better as far as I am concerned — the similarities were quite something else. Still, it was a good show with some interesting characters and I look forward to seeing how it develops.
There was one guy on the show who specialises in IT Outsourcing who was a bit of a loon, a ‘real character’, but he did seem to know his eggs and he is currently my pick for the win — watch him go out first now, ha.

Survivor Gabon – Mid Season

Well, I had planned to post after each episode of Survivor Gabon, the fact I have not is a good indication of how I feel about the season.

It’s not bad, don’t get me wrong, I don’t think any season of Survivor could ever be bad — it’s just not going to be one of the classics.

Firstly it’s boring when one tribe dominates so much. It’s only now I feel like I know anything about most of the Kota members…but at the same time I do want Fang to fail, they’ve been pretty much the dumbest tribe in Survivor history, making dumb move after dumb move — they don’t deserve rewards and immunity so I am glad they aren’t getting them — but it makes for boring viewing.

Secondly, too much tribe switching up. Twice now they have done it, and that’s before the merge. Survivor isn’t meant to be a game of luck, it’s a game of skill and as boring and predictable and frustrating as it might be seeing someone dominate, if they do it they do it. Switching tribes so much just screws peoples games, sends people home before their time, makes weaker people able to stay.

Oh well, hopefully it will pick up post merge, it’s certainly done that before (last season any one?)

Best Bingo Online!

I love to play online bingo, it’s a lot of fun and of course it’s an added bonus when you win.

A few years ago I would have thought of playing bingo as ‘sad’, something that older ladies and overly loud women would do — but that’s all changed now, with so many online bingo sites in the UK. Bingo is fun, it’s young, it’s cool!

I don’t get into the chatting too much, I’ve never been much of a chatter, but I do enjoy the ‘Chat Games’ that most bingo sites seem to have — where the staff play little side games with you where you can earn bonus money to play with.

At BingoSuperMarket.com you can learn about all the Best bingo online — the site is a portal to 100s of bingo related sites online so you can see which is the right site to play bingo online for you! They offer news and reviews of all things online bingo as well as have a directory of all the best sites, including available bonuses and coupon codes and the like.

It’s definitely a useful resource for us bingo fans, especially with lots of cold winter nights of staying home at night on the way!

Enjoy.

Upgraded WordPress

I just installed the new beta version of wordpress here at Jeoberpta.com. I have only had a little play so far, but here’s what I think — I love that it is so simple to add new plugins now, I don’t even have to download them manually and upload them any more, but other than that I don’t see anything special, a new design that’ll take some getting used to…that’s about it.

Ring Ring, Ring Ring, Ring Ring

As someone who doesn’t like using the phone any way, I have to wonder…how on earth did people survive before mobiles and caller display? I never, and I mean never answer the phone unless I know who is calling me. This actually saved my mum from getting scammed a few weeks ago, a number kept on calling the landline but I didn’t recognise it so did a search via a Phone Number Lookup service online and it turned out it was some company pretending to be from BidTV asking for pin numbers. Sneaky. I told my mum about it and not to answer, or to tell them she was calling the police if they called again…and that’s exactly what she did the next day when they tried it again.

Thank the heck for the Internet and sites like NationWidePhoneLookup.com, hey?

Back in business

Looks like I will still have plenty of time to watch TV because the Wii I won won’t be arriving for 6 – 8 weeks, aww. I thought it might take a few weeks to get here but wasn’t expecting it to take that long, I am very disappointed.

I am also back home now, back to normality…so normal TV ramblings should begin to flow here as usual again. I know you are excited about that :)
